  • Dr. Shaila Kabir obtained her MBBS degree from Chittagong Medical College and DEM degree from the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM). In recognition of her outstanding contributions to clinical services, medical education, research, innovation, publication, and leadership in medical science, she was awarded a Fellowship (FRCP) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United Kingdom.
  • She is currently working as a Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Evercare Hospital Chittagong. Previously, she worked as a Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology at the School of Medicine, Central Asian University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She also served as Specialist in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and Academician in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Sabah and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Malaysia for 12 years . She was the Head of the Department of Medicine at the University Malaysia Sabah from 2016 to 2018. She worked in the Department of Internal Medicine at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka (now Evercare Hospital Dhaka) from 2007 to 2010.
  • She is a specialist in diabetes, thyroid, and other hormonal and metabolic diseases. She is also particularly adept at treating patients with obesity and obesity-related complications. As a Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, her primary goal is always to ensure safe medical service and patient satisfaction.
  • Dr. Shaila Kabir has successfully completed several medical research projects with the assistance of foreign funding. The results of her research have been published in numerous international journals. Additionally, she is a regular reviewer for some Scopus-indexed international journals. Through the development of several medical 'Teaching and Diagnostic Aids', she has won gold medals and other awards in various international competitions.
