• Dr. Md. Abdul Karim obtained an MBBS degree in 2003 from Mymensingh Medical College under the Medical Faculty of Dhaka University. Then he worked in ENT, Thyroid and Head Neck surgery field for more than 18 years. After his MBBS degree, he obtained DLO and FCPS (ENT) FACS (USA). Currently, he is working at the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital as an Assistant Professor, in the Dept. of ENT Oncology.
• Dr. Md. Abdul Karim was awarded 18 months fellowship in Head Neck oncology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dhaka and Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, India which is the most prestigious institution for cancer care, research & education in India & also has an undeniable international standing.
• He has conducted surgeries for the mouth & oral cavity (tongue, tonsil, jaw), larynx or voice box, pharynx, salivary gland, thyroid gland and sinonasal cancers as well as paragangliomas of the Head and Neck. He also has a keen interest in teaching and has given lectures at national and regional conferences, to which he was invited.
• Dr. Md. Abdul Karim has frequently performed different types of laryngeal (Voice Box) cancer surgery and voice prosthesis.
• He has attended many national and International conferences as a faculty and presented many research works on Head & Neck Surgery. He has many noticeable national and International publications.
• He is passionate about Thyroid Cancer and well-versed in modern thyroid cancer management modification (Conservative Thyroid surgery without compromising disease) as per the latest international guidelines.
• Dr. Md. Abdul Karim can manage different forms of Parathyroid adenoma and Parathyroid diseases.
• He is a dedicated Head and Neck Cancer (ENT Cancer) surgeon in the country.
